Looking for environmental information on a community or state? EnviroMapper is part of the suite of mapping applications offered through the U.S. EPA's Envirofacts Web site. Users can zoom in or out on U.S. maps at varying degrees, or specify a city, county, state, ZIP code, watershed, EPA region, or even latitude and longitude points for the locations of superfund sites, hazardous-waste sites, and toxic releases, and the sources of air emissions and water dischargers.

Use the tool to display facility and chemical-based information from the Envirofacts Warehouse. Or get environmental information relating to the health of watersheds or surface water in a given area. EnviroMapper also offers an environmental justice application. Developers will want to view information on tax-incentive zones for areas where expansion or redevelopment is complicated by real or perceived environmental contamination.

Enter a zip code or city and state into the “Window to My Environment” application for an interactive map of regulated facilities, monitoring sites, water bodies, population density, perspective topographic views, and more. The window also provides a look at selected geographic statistics and opens up to links from federal, state, and local partners that are working on environmental issues in your area.

EnviroMapper also offers access to results from environmental sampling and monitoring in the New York City area in the aftermath of September 11, 2001.
