The Apparel Industry Working Group on the Environment works to create environmental guidelines for apparel suppliers and manufacturers. Participants have developed global wastewater effluent guidelines for suppliers as well as their own operations. The group also explores ways to reduce solid waste generated by apparel companies' manufacturing, distribution, and retail operations.
