The alliance, a partnership of private industry with government agencies and other organizations, gives a framework for assessing and understanding the risk of high production volume (HPV) chemicals. The alliance is currently working with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Environmental Defense to make available screening-level hazard data on HPV chemicals. Businesses that use HPV chemicals and are interested in helping to form public perception of the safety of these chemicals should check out a membership with the ACA.
